We have some excellent crops coming off the farm at the moment, including the first of the beautiful new floury setanta potatoes. You can look forward to fresh broccoli for the next few weeks and also some beautiful romanesco next week.

I had my detective hat on over the weekend and I was out and about checking prices for organic produce available from other stores. Here is a summary of what I found. If you are getting a seasonal box from us then you will typically be paying 10-20% less than our prices quoted here, and in some cases it could be up to 30% for the large box. There has never been a better time to receive a fresh box of local organic produce. In light of the climate report published last week, it is a small but positive contribution to reduce climate change.

Veg Type

In many cases our fresh organic produce is cheaper than the supermarket conventional produce. All of our produce listed in this table is Irish or from our own farm (apart from the onions which are imported from Holland). The supermarket produce was from a variety of different countries.
