The Box Scheme... explained PDF Print E-mail

A box scheme is a weekly delivery of organic veg, fruit and other produce direct to your door – either at home or work. You can cancel or change your order at anytime but changes to your order or cancellations must be received by 10pm on the Monday of the week you are expecting your delivery. Otherwise we will not be able to accommodate them. New online orders can be placed up to 10pm Tuesday for delivery that week.

We are certified by the regulatory body IOFGA, who conduct regular checks to make sure we are up to their standards, so you can be confident that you are receiving certified organic produce.

When you join you are allocated two foldable boxes (made from recycled card). We deliver one to you, filled with your veg for the week, which we ask you to keep, and the following week, when we deliver your second box, we collect the first (we collect and reuse the fruit bags too! But not the egg cartons)

So what happens when you join a box scheme?

Well firstly you will get a box of veggies and or fruit delivered to your door no matter what the weather every week. Delivery is FREE! Inside the box every week you will find news about the farm and recipes to go with the contents.

How does Payment work?

Our payment is very straight forward.

  1. You can order and pay online each week if you wish.

  2. You can order and pay online for your first order and save your card details and we will contact you about arranging regular deliveries if you have ticked that box

  3. You can ring us and we will take card details from you and arrange the deliveries.

  4. You can call us to set up deliveries and send us a chequefor 4 weeks of deliveries in advance.

Regular weekly customers will receive an invoice every 4 weeks and within 7 days of the date of the invoice we will debit the amount on the invoice from your card.

When and Where and how will my box be delivered?

We deliver your box once a week generally to your home or your place of work. You can also opt to collect at the farm itself if you are passing. Most of our customers tend to be at work when we deliver so we will normally leave the box in a porch or shed. We also leave boxes inside the main door to apartment buildings and with customer's friends.

Does the box scheme represent value for money?

YES! The €20 box generally contains between €23 and €27 worth of produce between the winter and the summer. Equally the smaller boxes represent good value. PLUS delivery is FREE. Compare our prices in the summer and autumn when we are producing our own crops to those in the supermarket and I think you will be very pleasantly surprised.

Is it better for the environment?

YES! Join our box scheme and you are:

  • protecting our countryside

  • protecting our water supplies

  • protecting wildlife

  • helping the bees!

Buying local organic food is probably the biggest and easiest choice you can make to reduce you carbon footprint.

Finally....

We love what we do. We respect the earth that gives us the produce, we work with nature and not against it. We run our business in an as environmentally and ethically sustainable manner as we can. We also guarantee our produce and service. If you are unhappy in any way with the quality of our service or produce then we will give you a refund.
